Learn the ancient method of pattern-welding steel and make your very own hand forged "Damascus" billet. (This is not a knife making course!!)
This Billet forging workshop takes place on a long weekend, Friday evening 6-9PM, followed by Saturday and Sunday 12-5PM
Each student will have the opportunity to make and take home a billet that's approximately 1.5 inches wide and 24 inches long.
Use portions or the entire billet for future projects during advanced forging courses or open forges to take your projects to a whole other level.
No prior forging experience is required for this course, however if you plan on turning this billet into a knife or anything artistic, taking Introduction to blacksmithing and knife making will be required for that purpose.
Taking Introduction to Blacksmithing first can greatly benefit you and improve your skills right from the beginning.
All tools and materials will be provided!
