🔨 Homeschool Blacksmithing Program (Ages 12–17)
Five Mondays • 10 AM–1 PM • Starting November 10
Cost: $499/student
This immersive five-session blacksmithing course is designed for homeschool students aged 12 to 17, welcoming all skill levels, from curious beginners to confident young blacksmiths.
🧱 Beginner Level
Students new to blacksmithing will build strong foundational skills using traditional forging techniques. Through guided, hands-on instruction, they’ll learn workshop safety, basic metallurgy, hammer control, and the history of the craft. Projects will include tapering, scrolling, punching, and twisting hot metal into functional and decorative forms.
🔗 Intermediate Level
Students with some forging experience will deepen their skills by exploring traditional joinery techniques. Under expert guidance, they’ll design and create a multi-component hand-forged decorative item, gaining confidence in planning and execution.
⚙️ Advanced Level
Advanced students will work independently on a complex project of their choosing, with instructor support from design through final finish. This track emphasizes creative problem-solving, precision, and craftsmanship.

All students will complete multiple projects throughout the program. Additional time for final project finishing may be available during optional open studio hours (Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6–9 PM) at no extra cost.

Important Safety Info:
We work with open flames and power tools. All participants must wear closed-toed shoes and non-flammable clothing, cotton t-shirt and jeans are ideal (no nylon or polyester)
