Welding II is designed for adults who have completed our one-day Introduction to Welding workshop and are ready to expand their skills through more advanced fabrication challenges. This intermediate course focuses on precision, planning, and the technical problem-solving required to create multi-component metal projects with accuracy and confidence.

Across two focused workshop days, participants strengthen their foundational welding skills while learning how to apply design concepts and basic mathematics to real fabrication tasks. Instruction emphasizes clean fittings, accurate measurement, and improved weld quality.

How to read and create simple shop drawings

Applied mathematics for layout and measurement

How to calculate angles and lengths for an accurate fitting

Techniques for creating precise miter cuts

Methods for constructing complex shapes, including fitting a welded circle inside a perfect square

Improved heat control, cleaner welds, and refined finishing techniques

Participants complete two intermediate-level projects during the workshop. Each project reinforces new skills and encourages creative problem-solving. All completed work goes home with the participant at the end of the course.

🔥 Safety Requirements
All participants must wear non-flammable clothing such as cotton, linen, or wool. Nylon and polyester are not permitted. Closed-toed shoes are required. Participants must also bring a welding jacket or a long-sleeved, collared shirt for additional protection.
