This 5 days long Intermediate/Advanced youth BLADESMITHING program is for the young aspiring knife maker with previous forging experience ages 12-17. Students will rely and build on the skills they have learned in our beginner Day Camp and learn how to forge, grind fit and finish knives. They will refresh what they know about safety in a metal workshop, basic metallurgy, practice proper hammer-technique and recap what they learned about the fundamentals of blacksmithing and traditional forging techniques.
Prerequisite : Beginner youth Day Camp!
Students will also learn to safely use a belt grinder and some other useful power tools that can greatly assist a modern bladesmith in completion of a project during this course.
