This 5-day long immersive youth blacksmith program is for the young aspiring blacksmith ages 12 -17. Students will gain strong fundamentals in blacksmithing with traditional forging techniques and learn to forge with confidence while completing projects independently with hands on instruction.
The course will also cover safety in a metal workshop, basic metallurgy, and proper hammer-technique. The skills learned our students will taper, scroll, punch and twist hot metal into functional and decorative shapes. Each student will have the opportunity to complete multiple projects.
No experience is necessary!

Our workshops and day-camp groups have always been intentionally small! Our new policy reduced the number of participants even lower which allows for more space and even more personal attention to each student. Please note we work with open flames and power tools during this camp. Non-flammable clothing and closed toed shoes are an essential requirement!
