This 5-day long immersive youth Welding program is for the young aspiring artisan welder ages 12 -17. Students will gain strong fundamentals in MIG flux-core welding and learn to weld with confidence while completing projects independently with hands on instruction. Students will also learn the safe and efficient use of power tools that are necessary in a welding shop, such as angle grinders, belt griders and other powered hand-tools.
The course will cover safety in a welding workshop, basic metallurgy, welding gas chemistry. Each student will have the opportunity to complete multiple projects.
No experience is necessary!
