During this Private/Semi-Private introduction to blacksmithing workshop, students will learn about shop safety, basic metallurgy, history of the craft and the additional science behind blacksmithing.
We will teach proper hammer technique, and stance. The step by step instruction will allow students to create a practical project that incorporates several forging techniques which will translate into both architectural, sculptural,and jewelry scale forging, as well as into bladesmithing !

The session is 3-3.5 hours long and the cost is $350/person.
Maximum participants : 2-4

This session will also allow the instructor to assess the students aptitude and physical abilities to determine what direction to move forward in upcoming classes or private sessions.

Please wear all natural fiber clothing. No nylon or polyester whatsoever is allowed in the hot-shop. Long hair must be tied up. We will provide all safety gear.
