Terms, Conditions & Policies

The Guild, Urban Craft and Folk Art School is a small art education organization. As such, we must adhere to the following policies to ensure our commitment endures and that the Guild serves future generations. All our programs, classes, workshops, courses, and camps are open to everyone; no membership required. Please review the published prerequisites before enrolling in intermediate and advanced offerings.

 CANCELLATION POLICY

Registrations are NON-REFUNDABLE!

- All registrations are non-refundable.
- Cancel ≥7 days in advance: receive full credit for a future program.
- Cancel <7 days: receive 50% credit for a future program.
- One-time rescheduling allowed if requested at least 72 hours before the start of your scheduled class
- Further reschedules or cancellations = no credit.
- If booking includes multiple students, you must share info for each one.
- Late cancellations impact us financially; please notify us promptly.
- Please get in touch by phone or email to request changes.

MISSED CLASSES

 The Guild staff always does its best to accommodate all students. However, there are no refunds or make-ups for missed classes unrelated to Guild or faculty issues.
 

THERE IS NO PRORATING!

Tuition is not adjusted for late starts or missed days by the student.


PROGRAM CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS

(BY THE GUILD)


- We reserve the right to substitute instructors, adjust schedules, or cancel classes.
- Weather-related cancellations will be rescheduled based on availability.
- If the Guild cancels a class, a full refund will be issued.
- We will make every effort to notify participants of cancellations at least 48 hours in advance when the minimum participation isn’t met.

 

SAFETY AND LIABILITY​

While the student can be assured that every reasonable safety precaution will be followed, the Guild, Urban Craft and Folk Art School and our parent company Dark Angel Armory & Forge will not assume liability for injuries that occur within the scope of the subject area for which the student is enrolled. By completing registration online or in person for any course, the student agrees to assume all reasonable liability from injuries related to the scope of the work being taught and releases the organization from any liability claims related to any injuries and/or accidents that may occur.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY

Participants may be photographed for promotional use. Contact the Director before your program starts with privacy requests.

 

WAIVERS

All students (or legal guardians) must sign a waiver upon arrival, which includes:
- Liability Release
- Photo/Video Consent
(The form is also available online.)

 

 

YOUTH PROGRAMS AND DAY-CAMP POLICIES

 

  • No supervision before 9:30 AM.

  • No curbside drop-off/pick-up. An adult must sign in/out.

  • Parents are required to attend a 15-minute safety briefing on the first day.

  • Morning sessions end at 1:00 PM, and afternoon sessions end at 4:30 PM.

  • Supervised lunch breaks are provided for both AM and PM enrollments.

  • Bring your lunch and snacks. Fridge & microwave available.

  • A sign-in/out sheet is provided daily. Please include your best contact number.

  • For alternate pickups, please notify us in writing and list the information on the sign-in sheet.
