Winter Break 3D Sculpture Program: Build Your Own Wall-Mounted Dragon Head Some kids spend winter break staring at screens. Yours will spend it building a dragon. In this 4-session sculpture program, students design and build their own wall-mounted dragon head, hunting-lodge style: horns, spikes, whiskers, and all. They’ll learn how real sculptors work, from building a sturdy armature to shaping form and proportion, layering papier-mâché, adding texture and detail, and finishing it with paint that makes it look like it just flew in from another realm. At the end, each student takes home a one of a kind dragon head, mounted and ready to hang on the wall. No dragons were harmed in the making of this program. Several were invented. The details: Dates: Monday to Thursday, December 28–31 Time: 10:00 am – 1:30 pm (14 hours of instruction) Ages: 12-17 Price: $499, all materials included Where: The Guild, Urban Craft & Folk Art School, 205 NW 16th St, Pompano Beach FL 33060 What to bring: Clothes that can get messy (papier-mâché is glorious, but not tidy), a water bottle, and a snack. How to pay: Using Step Up For Students scholarship funds? Choose “Pay in person” at checkout, then send the funds through the EMA marketplace. Look for the Intro 3D Art/Sculpture Program under our Guild program offerings. Paying directly? Follow the prompts to check out with a credit card. If you need a paid receipt for future reimbursement, just ask, and we’ll provide one. Seats are limited, and so is the number of dragons we can fit on the drying racks. Reserve your spot early!

Please review the published prerequisites before enrolling in intermediate and advanced offerings. Registration & Cancellations - All registrations are non-refundable. - Cancel ≥7 days in advance: receive full credit for a future program. - Cancel <7 days: receive 50% credit for a future program. - One-time rescheduling allowed if requested at least 72 hours before the start of your scheduled class - Further reschedules or cancellations = no credit. - If booking includes multiple students, you must share info for each one. Late cancellations impact us financially; please notify us promptly. Please contact us by phone or email to request changes. Missed Classes No refunds or make-ups for missed classes unrelated to Guild or faculty issues. No Prorating Tuition is not adjusted for late starts or missed days. Program Changes & Cancellations - We reserve the right to substitute instructors, adjust, or cancel programs - Weather-related cancellations will be rescheduled based on availability. - If the Guild cancels a class, a full refund will be issued. - We notify participants of cancellations at least 48 hours in advance when the minimum participation isn’t met. Safety & Liability The Guild, Urban Craft and Folk Art School, and Dark Angel Armory & Forge are not liable for injuries. By registering, you acknowledge and accept responsibility for the associated risk with the class content. Participants may be photographed for promotional use. Contact the Director before your program starts to address privacy requests. All students (or guardians) must sign a waiver upon arrival, which includes: - Liability Release - Photo/Video Consent (The form is also available online.) Youth Programs Guidelines No supervision before 9:30 AM. No curbside drop-off/pick-up. An adult must sign in/out. Parents are required to attend a 15-minute safety briefing on the first day. Morning sessions end at 1:00 PM Bring your lunch and snacks. Fridge & microwave available. A sign-in/out sheet is provided daily. Please include your best contact number. For alternate pick-up, please notify us in writing and list the information on the sign-in sheet.
